Celebrate our Artistic Directors’ Final Season
In Person & Online!

  • Proof of vaccination, identification, and properly-fitted masks are required for in-person attendance at this time.
  • More COVID protocols at piffaro.org/safety.

In the 2021/2022 Season we celebrate Joan Kimball & Bob Wiemken and the dream they brought to life forty years ago (read about their retirement & Piffaro’s future here). Expect the deep scholarship married to engaging programming that audiences have come to love; superb guest artists; and dozens of renaissance instruments played with prowess by our six incomparable musicians.

Each concert will be premiered live in Philadelphia & Wilmington, observing the most current COVID safety protocols. A video version of the same program will be available for viewing online. Given the ongoing uncertainties, all in-person ticket buyers will receive complimentary access to the video concert as well.

Season subscribers are invited to participate in Subscriber Talks with special guests on Zoom before each concert and will receive periodic treats in their inboxes throughout the year!

From 16th c. settings of A solis ortus cardine (From the point of the rising sun) to Smith’s new setting of Ave maris stella (Hail, star of the sea) for renaissance instruments and voices, this is music that lights our way through the darkness and offers hope for a new day ahead.
