Both the main (red doors) and wheelchair-accessible (glass doors) entrances are on the 38th st. side of the building.

Safety
We know that safety is an increasing concern of our patrons. University City District provides services around Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral that include an on-call escort service until 3AM, 7 days a week. If you would like an escort to walk you back to your car or transit stop, call 215-387-3942.

Accessibility
Wheelchair-accessible entrance is located to the right of the main entrance, through the glass doors.
Seating is flexible. Call 215-235-8469 24 hours prior to concert to make arrangements.

Public Transportation

  • Bus routes: 21, 30, 40, 42 and LUCY Green and Gold Loops
  • Commuter trains and Amtrak all stop at 30th Street Station. A taxi ride from the station is about 8 blocks and costs under $10.00.
  • Blue Line Subway (“The El”): exit 40th Street
  • Green Line (subway-surface) streetcar: exit 36th Street

Parking
There is abundant metered street parking in the neighborhood. In addition:

  • FREE PARKING: LAZ Parking, 38th & Market Streets – vehicle entrance on 39th. This lot is located “kitty-corner” to the Cathedral.
  • LAZ parking, 3665 Market Street – entrance on the north side of Market. Call LAZ parking at 215-823-7870 for more information.
  • Walnut 38 Park, 38th & Walnut Streets – entrance on the east side of 38th. Call Penn Parking at 215-898-8667 for more information.
