Piffaro at Esperanza Arts Center

Renaissance Music from South America

As part of an exciting new residency at Esperanza Arts Center, Piffaro and students from Artístas y Músicos Latinoamericanos (AMLA) explore the centuries-old written tradition of a melody without accompaniment. In this public performance, Piffaro and AMLA students will perform sacred and secular music from 16th and 17th century Peru, Paraguay, and Bolivia for singers, winds, and plucked strings.

We are grateful for support for this residency from The Presser Foundation and PECO Powering the Arts!
